Let's look inside the eclectic wardrobe of style blogger Yasmin Robinson.

If you love colour, you’ll love Snazzy Yazi’s blog. Yasmin is a style blogger from Artigarvan, Derry who was ranked in the Top 60 Irish fashion bloggers list in January.

Her fun and fashion-forward blog is mainly about personal style and affordable fashion. Since she started blogging in January 2016, Yasmin has become an inspirational style icon in Northern Ireland and in Donegal.

This week, we asked her to share some style secrets:

1. How would you describe your personal style?

My style is very eclectic as day by day my style changes, but I love prints and colour, which I always include in my every day outfits.

2. Who is your style icon?

There are so many! I adore Megan Ellaby’s style – she’s a Mancunian style blogger. I also love Florence Welch and Stevie Nicks (I’m a massive lover of vintage).

3. What is your favourite piece of clothing?

At the minute, it has to be my New Look Leopard print tea dress- I’ve written a blog post all about it here – https://snazzyyazi.com/2018/07/31/the-only-dress-you-need-for-the-rest-of-2018/

4. What inspires you when choosing an outfit?

It really just depends on my mood. Some days I like wearing dresses and others I like to keep it casual and wear jeans and trainers. The main factor I take into consideration is the weather, and how cold it is outside.

5. How would you accessorise a look?

Hats are without a doubt my favourite accessory; I love adding berets and baker boys to an outfit. I also love adding neck-ties and plenty of jewellery pieces. Accessories can really change the style of an outfit and make your look a bit more unique.

6. What is your most recent fashion purchase?

I picked up a few items in the Zara sale, which are for the season ahead. A velvet printed two-piece, a pair of corduroy culottes and a pink and green stripe dress. The great thing about these is that all this only came to £23!

7. Where do you usually shop for clothing?

My favourite high street shops are Topshop and Primark, online shops that I love are NastyGal and ASOS. I love shopping in boutiques too as you can always pick up unique pieces from brands you can’t find on the high street.

8. Do you have any favourite local fashion boutiques?

Yes, Sequin Cinderella and Pippa Boutique. Not to mention McElhinneys in Ballybofey.

9. What are your wardrobe staples?

Jeans. I feel that if you have a great fitting pair of jeans in your wardrobe you will always have something to wear. Hats; as I said before, I love adding a hat to any outfit. Belts are another staple that I simply couldn’t do without.

10. Do you follow trends?

To be honest, I don’t particularly follow trends. There are certain trends each season that I love, but I usually just wear what I love and try not to focus too much on trends. My favourite trends for this upcoming Autumn Winter season however are animal print and polka dots. These trends never really go away.

11. Heels or flats?

Flats definitely. Gone are the days that I wore uncomfortable sky high stilettos for “fashion”. Being uncomfortable in shoes is not trendy.

12. Shoes or handbags?

Handbags for sure, and the reason being is that I carry a LOT of things around with me and I would be lost without a handbag.

13. What is the best piece of fashion advice you’ve ever heard?

“Why fit in when you were born to stand out”- This is an Anna Wintour quote and I absolutely love it.

14. What do you think about the fashion scene in Donegal?

I feel like the fashion scene in Donegal has really grown recently with the amount of fashion shows and amazing shops and boutiques popping up. I always get fashion inspiration when out and about at events – many Donegal ladies have featured in my blog in the ‘Style Inspo’ section. https://snazzyyazi.com/category/style-inspo/

15. What has been your best investment piece?

Gucci Rainbow Sunglasses. I bought them a few months ago and haven’t taken them off since.

16. What’s the wackiest item you own?

Probably my vintage Winnie the Pooh Corduroy shirt from Rusty’s Attic. I love this shirt because its purple and I absolutely love Disney!

17. If you could wear only one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Levis Wedgie Jeans, Topshop Basic Tee and Dr Marten Boots – A Classic outfit that would never date.

18. What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

I don’t know if I would call these “faux-pas” but I have definitely tried every trend going in the past – some have not been stylish at all. The most memorable has been dressing like Avril Lavigne when I was in my early teens, and also those coloured footless tights that were all the rage when I first started going out.

19. If money wasn’t a factor, what would you buy?

I would be on the first flight to New York to go to Saks Fifth Avenue and pick out; a Gucci Slogan T-Shirt, Dior Saddle Bag, Gucci Loafers, Gucci Butterfly Belt, Vivienne Westwood Tartan Blazer, Burberry Trench Coat the list goes on…

20. How do you feel when you’re in your favourite outfit?

I always try and wear an outfit that makes me feel amazing every day. Fashion should be fun and you should always feel great in what you wear.
