The Tea & Toast mother's meet-up group are having an extra event this week to celebrate Feel Good Fortnight.

Feel Good Fortnight 2018 runs from June 23 to July 7, and on Wednesday 27th June the Tea & Toast meeting will be all about laughter.

An evening with Laughter Therapist, Nuala McKeever, will take place with Cockhill Youth Club Buncrana at 7.30 PM

Nuala manages the North Star Health & Well-being Centre in Derry. She has vast experience in training, communication, motivation, positive thinking and personal organization.

Nuala also delivers Well-being Programs to both the Public & Private Sector right across the country. With her high energy, positive spirit and enthusiasm, Nuala focuses on a “whole” person approach to strengthen human connection and increase overall team engagement. Laughter forms a huge part of this!

Nuala explains: “Laughter Therapy in a group scenario uses Laughter Yoga as a therapeutic exercise technique.

“It is a unique concept whereby we simulate laughter for absolutely no reason – no comedy, no jokes, no humour. We do this through movement, eye contact and childlike playfulness.

“The invitation is to “laugh for no reason“, faking it until it becomes real. Laughing is an easy way to strengthen all immune functions, bring more oxygen to the body and brain, foster positive feelings and improve interpersonal skills. You’ve got to give this a go!”

If you would like to hear from Nuala and meet like-minded mothers, visit the Tea & Toast meeting this Wednesday from 7.30 – 9.30PM. All welcome.
