TG4’s Ros na Rún cast celebrated the wrap of their 22nd season with a lively party last week, with plenty of Donegal faces in attendance.

Donegal actors Sean Ó Baoill, Brídín Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh, Gort an Choirce’s Máirín Dé Buitléir, and Falcarragh actor Pól Penrose were among the partygoers at John Keogh’s Bar & Restaurant and celebrated completing their most exhilarating season to date.

TG4’s ‘Ros na Rún’, Ireland’s only Irish language soap, will continue to broadcast on TG4 until the 14th of June, with explosive and gripping storylines promised.

This season has seen many twists and turns in the fictional village of Ros Na Run. Two talented Donegal women Brídín Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh and Máirín Dé Buitléir play sisters – Katie and Dee.

Although the Daly sisters are currently at a stage of contentment, with Katy returning from Tenerife with her beautiful baby boy Jay and her husband Jason, while her sister Dee is happy in career and with her husband Mac, keep an eye out, as there’s always drama where the Daly sisters are concerned.

Times are tough for Adam (Sean Ó Baoill) who’s been wrongly accused of selling underage alcohol and there’s even more struggles up ahead, while Colm (Pol Penrose) has turned a massive corner in his wayward ways, helping Mo in any way he can after having lost his own mother to cancer.

Other major headlines, Tadhg the infamous publican has risked everything for his childhood sweetheart Maggie (played by Mary Ryan) – but he’s in for his biggest blow yet when a long-kept secret is revealed.

Deirdre Ni Fhlatharta, Series Producer of Ros na Rún, says “We were privileged to have such a committed and talented line-up of actors, directors, writers and crew on our most ground-breaking season to date. Filming might be completed, but the series continues to air until June the 14th with many tense storylines and shocking revelations yet to come for our viewers.”

Watch the action unfold every Tuesday and Thursday at 8.30pm on TG4 with an omnibus on Sundays at 6:45pm. You can get further information at www.rosnarun.com, or connect with ‘Ros na Rún’ on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook.
