Donegal Woman readers voted for their favourite places with the most marvellous mixes, here at the winners:

Tis the season for parties and get-togethers. Donegal has its fair share of great pubs and wine bars – but cocktail menus are sometimes hit and miss.

We wanted to find the best bars with the best stirs, so we put it to you for the best places across Donegal. Readers voted on their favourite bars with the best atmosphere, menu selection and coolest cocktail experience.

1. Warehouse Bar + Kitchen

Warehouse, one of Letterkenny’s newest bars came out on top. They have an extensive cocktail menu with recipes and names you won’t find anywhere else.

Their espresso martini was hailed as a top pick and their mojitos gained a lot of praise by fans of the Cuban mix.

The creative staff and great presentation of the concoctions were also a big draw. Awesome atmosphere, design, service and selection seems to be the recipe for success here.

2. Caisleain Oir Hotel, Annagry

This lively Gaeltacht spot loves to mix it up, and their customers love sipping their signature cocktails.

Caisleain Oir was complimented for its innovative and original drinks.

You’ll find ‘not the ordinary run of the mill’ creations like a Wild Atlantic Wave, gin tea cocktails and delectable dessert cocktails on the menu.

3. Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny

This hotel is a top wedding venue outside Letterkenny with a colourful range of cocktails for enjoying by the fire after dinner or outside during summertime.

Customers love that there’s always something new on special every month.

4. McGettigans, Clanree Hotel, Letterkenny

This cool and modern bar outside Letterkenny is a great place to stop into for dinner and drinks. Party nights with live music are the best here. They do a great Ladies Night here on Thursdays – with buy one get one free signature cocktails – delish!

5. Mc Cafferty’s Bar, Mountain Top, Letterkenny

Here’s a hidden gem at Mountain Top that’s loved all year round. Their classic cocktail selection is highly-thought-of for good mixes and measures.

Cocktails with their amazing sunset views over Donegal’s mountain are said to be a brilliant summer experience.
