The Villa Rose V Spa & Hair Boutique in Ballybofey hosted a glamorous girls' day out to celebrate its 10th birthday on Sunday 13th August 2017.

The V Spa 10th anniversary party saw 160 guests gatherng in the beautiful ballroom of the Villa Rose Hotel for an afternoon dedicated to pampering and celebrating.

The V Spa team were happy to celebrate their 10 years in business doing what they do best – making people feel pampered, refreshed and informed with expert information.

Guests made the most of the lavish Sunday event and had mini hair, makeup and nail treatments and skin analysis sessions with the V Spa team at pop-up stations around the room.

After a reception of bubbly and canapes, we all sat down to hear from the day’s inspiring and informative speakers, introduced by the witty MC Paddy McMenamin.

Blogger Caroline McMenamin, most known online as The Red Dutchess, gave a talk about her mental health journey and the importance of self-care.

Caroline, who is from Derry, spoke about how she copes with OCD and encouraged everyone to try to discover mindfulness. She was passionate about ending the stigma associated with mental disorders. She also highlighted the vital importance of taking time out to destress, whether it’s with a spa session or with exercising.

Kathleen Garvey from Germaine De Capuccini

Skincare specialist Kathleen Garvey from Germaine De Capuccini gave real-time demonstrations of the Epionce Refresh Peel and Micro Needling treatments available at V Spa. The V Spa is highly regarded as one of Ireland’s leading providers of Medi Spa treatments by the professional spa brand, and we saw first-hand how the cutting-edge treatments are done so quickly and comfortably for clients.

The V Spa team then gathered on stage for a sparkling celebration and to blow out the candles on a gigantic birthday cake – which was, believe it or not, enough for 160 people!

Everyone toasted to the success of the spa with wine, cake, light bites and plenty of sweet treats.

Next up was makeup artist Orla Crossan, who gave a fun masterclass with an in-depth demo and plenty of insider tips.

Orla, who is from Gweedore, showed us how to glam up a neutral brown smokey eye look with gorgeous glitter and dramatic lashes. She also gave great advice on how to apply makeup to somebody else – and she talked with plenty of experience as an INGLOT Galway team member, which is one of the biggest and most creative makeup brands in Ireland.

Spa Manager Mariana Gallen took a moment to look back over the 10 years at V Spa and reflected on how the spa has advanced to stay in the lead in Donegal. She thanked and praised her hard-working team for their dedication to providing the best experiences for clients for so many years.

A highly-anticipated draw was held to bring the afternoon to an exciting close. A brilliant range of prizes were given away, including V Spa & Hair Boutique treatments, afternoon tea, leisure centre membership and a highly-coveted overnight stay in the Villa Rose Honeymoon Suite.

All proceeds from the raffle were donated to Bressie’s A Lust for Life movement – affirming the day’s theme of good mental health practices and wellbeing.

Guests all enjoyed taking time out at this great party to meet with friends, relax and treat themselves – after all, it’s life’s little luxuries that brighten up our days!
