Grab a few of your kindred spirits and get ready for Anne with an E! Rachel White previews the new series starring Donegal actress Amybeth McNulty:

The lead up to this series premier has been immense. With the cast and production team keeping us well up to date through Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook, we’re definitely waiting hard to see our very own Amybeth McNulty as the quirky, defiant but lovable redhead we all know and love.

The cast and crew have been hard at work for the past few months filming the show to make sure that it truly does Lucy Maud Montgomery‘s work justice. With Season One already filmed, Amybeth looks back at her time as the spunky Anne Shirley:

During filming, the glorious sights of Prince Edward Island astounded Amybeth. She speaks so highly of the show’s setting which only makes us more eager to see the series!

“First of all, anywhere you turn is a postcard, instantly.”

“It’s so gorgeous and the people are amazing, they’re so lovely and welcoming. It was so amazing to shoot there, to think that’s where Anne of Green Gables is, and is so loved.” Amybeth told CBCNews.
