Style columnist Breid McDaid shares versatile occasion wear inspiration for any upcoming events on your calendar!

Hi all,

Here we are, almost at the end of February.

Mid February right along until the end of May is a very busy time for families with Communion/Confirmation season in full swing. Along with being the source of a wonderful family get together, it can also cause some financial strain, with the outfit challenge only being part of it.

In today’s post, I’ve decided to compile together a few different options that are versatile in their function and will suit many an occasion you may have in the coming months.

Available at Blush Boutique Carndonagh

Fortunately, there are many stylish options readily available on the high street. Whether it’s a structured dress, a flattering co-ord or statement jumpsuit you’ve been pondering over, why not take the time to experiment in the coming weeks and find the option you are most content with?

As these occasions are quite busy in the lead up, making a conscious effort to marry both elements of style and comfort together, where possible, would most definitely be a wise move.

Personally I’m loving the impact the jumpsuit/all-in-one has made in the world of occasion wear, now deemed an acceptable alternative to the original dress.

Practical, comfortable and stylish are all words that spring to mind and ones we never tire of hearing in the fashion world.

With countless styles and variations to choose from, bardot and tailored to culottes and frills, take time to explore.

Dresses, whether structured, skater, or the ‘no fuss’ shift style, the options are endless.

Choose whether it’s a block colour or printed style you’re looking for and off you go.

Camisoles teamed with midi skirts is a collaboration that has proven extremely popular this passed number of years. It’s an ensemble that exudes effortless elegance.

Minimal, delicate jewellery is all you will need to compliment this look.

As always, thank you for taking the time to read. Happy shopping!

Until next time,
