Luxury hotel Harvey's Point has been named as the best hotel in Ireland and the 10th best in Europe.

This is the fifth year in a row that the Donegal hotel has been named as the best hotel in Ireland by TripAdvisor.

The four-star hotel also ranked in 10th place in the list of Best Hotels in Europe. The TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards combine rating from millions of explorers worldwide to form a picture of the world’s best destinations and residences.

The Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey also took the 10th place in the list of Top 10 Irish hotels.

The overall prize of best hotel in the world this year went to the Aria Hotel Budapest – a five-star boutique hotel in the Hungarian city.

Harvey’s Point, located outside Donegal on the shores of Lough Eske, finished in first place in the best service category was second place in the romantic category.

Staff and management are celebrating the phenomenal achievement of the hotel today.

The hotel has launched a special celebration package for guest to mark the award.
